Llanishen Parish Church

The Grey Lady of St. Dene's

An apparition of a Grey Lady was said to haunt the area around a holy well, named St. Dene’s, in Llanishen. It is said she allowed herself to be followed by drovers who worked nearby. Apparently, her spirit is held captive for deeds in her mortal life, although we do not know whom she is or what she did.
