Capel Smyrna

Canna’s Well and Canna’s Chair

These places are also referred to as “Anna’s Well” and “Anna’s Chair”. The water from this well is said to cure intestinal complaints and ague. The person requiring assistance should throw a pin into the water and then sleep in Canna’s Chair. The cure could take up to fourteen days, however it does not state whether you have to remain in the chair for that length of time!

NB We do not advise drinking from any of these sources.
