Llanllechid Church

The Poltergeist

In 1758, a poltergeist was blamed for a series of happenings including stone throwing, which would, unusually in such cases, cause injury. It is said that some of the stones thrown weighed as much as 27lbs. Even a group of clergymen failed in their attempts to exorcise the home, so the family was forced to leave.
