The Owl

Birds have played a part in many cultures and in Welsh folklore it is no different. A large white Owl in the village of Cwmcarvan is said to impose a curse on anyone who kills such a bird.

Cwmcarvan (Welsh: Cwmcarfan) is a small rural village in Monmouthshire, Wales.

It is located 4 miles south west of Monmouth and about 4 miles east of Raglan, off the old A40 road not far from Trellech.
